Welcome to Garden View Bed & Breakfast. We are conveniently located in the sophisticated area known as Amsterdam South. Admired for its unique architectural style, this neighborhood was designed in time for the Dutch summer Olympics of 1928.
We are situated on a grassy tree lined canal where you can watch rowers practicing their strokes, motor boats and luxury yachts, as well as be entertained by the ducks, the herons and the dog walkers.
Convenient to all forms of transportation (train, tram, metro and bus) we are easy to reach whichever way you chose to arrive. Our location is a 7-minute ride by train from Amsterdam Schiphol airport, and we are within easy walking distance from the train station (World Trade Center). Paid parking is readily available. If you wish to arrive by boat, there is a mooring platform directly across the road from our house.

Garden View Bed & Breakfast is within easy walking distance to restaurants, bars, shops and kiosks filled with tulips and other traditional Dutch flowers.
We are also nearby several prominent business locations: the World Trade Center, the Atrium, the Courts of Justice, the RAI exhibition center, and the Olympic stadium where many major sporting events take place. A short tram ride will take you to the Museumplein where you will find the Van Gogh Museum, the Stedelijk Museum, the Rijksmuseum, and the Concertgebouw where you can attend world-class classical music performances.
If you are not pressed for time, you can walk to the museums through this beautifully designed neighborhood.
A short tram ride will also take you to the city center for canal tours, the Royal Palace, the Leidseplein, and the nightlife area, the Rembrandtplein.

Garden View Bed & Breakfast is a cosy family establishment with two charming rooms: Garden View East and Garden View West. Both rooms open out onto a balcony, which for most of the year is flower-filled, overlooking a lush green garden. Complimentary coffee and/or tea is served upon arrival.

Garden View East is warmly furnished with a full size bed for two, an antique leather club chair, color TV, breakfast table, and a wide choice of reading material including information on things to do in Amsterdam.
There are fresh fluffy towels for use in the shared bath.

Garden View West is a lovely room romantically furnished with a Queen size, canopied bed with lots of pillows, comfortable armchairs, color TV, breakfast table and plenty of space to spread out and feel at home.

Breakfast is served in the room by your hostess, Nessie. Fresh breads, cheeses, fruit juice, boiled eggs, and (herbal) tea and coffee will start you off for a day in Amsterdam. Special dietary needs will be taken into consideration upon request.

The rooms are non-smoking, but smoking is permitted on the balcony.

Reservation requirements:

Why is a credit confirmation required? And what is the cancellation policy

Almost all accommodations require that some credit card guarantee be made. This is
also required at Garden View West. The cancellation policy is that no charge will be
posted to the credit card if Garden View Bed and Breakfast is informed 5 business
days prior to the reservation. Any notice less than that will result in the first night
being charged. If the guest does not show and has not informed Garden View, the
full amount of the stay will be charged.
